The emergence of multi-drug resistant (MDR) bacterial strains is an urgent problem derived from the widespread and uncontrolled use of antibiotics. Therefore, new arrays of lead compounds exerting antimicrobial activity are necessary to contrast the spreading of MDR pathogens.
